Considered as the first floating offshore wind farm of continental Europe, the WindFloat Atlantic project is located off the coast of Viana do Castelo in Portugal.

20km of electric cable have been installed to connect the coast to the three turbines, which has a total capacity of 25MW. That’s equivalent to the energy consumed by 60,000 homes in one year! Each turbine is 30 metres high. What a major project!

Initiated in 2006, the ITER project is one of the most ambitious energy projects around the world!
35 nations are collaborating to build the world’s largest tokamak in Southern France. About 3,000 people are involved in this project. The machine has the capacity to produce 500MW of fusion power!

Based in Mali, the Kita Solar Power Station sits on 100 hectares. According to Akuo, the main owner, it is the largest operational solar farm in West Africa!

Commissioned in 2020, the solar power plant supply approximately 120,000 local homes. With its capacity of 50MW, Mali can reduce its CO2 emissions and lower its dependence on hydropower and fossil fuel.

Greater Tortue Ahmeyim is an offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) project based on the maritime border of Mauritania and Senegal, and operated by BP. At a depth of 2,850m, it is the deepest offshore project in Africa.

Spread over 33,000km², the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim field is estimated to contain approximately 15 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of recoverable gas reserves. Commercial production is scheduled for the first half of 2022.

Rich Oils Group is currently working on a major project with a total of 8 billion dollars investment, which aim is to develop the productivity of a mining company. Once operational, the mine should produce 60,000t of nickel, 5,600t of refined cobalt and 210,000t of fertilizer yearly.

The development of Zinia 2 has started!

Zinia 2 is a deep offshore project located 150 kilometers from the Angolan coast. This project is part of the Block 17 development and will extend its profitability with a production capacity of 40,000 barrels per day.

Zinia 2 comprises nine wells in water depths ranging from 600 to 1,200 meters and will connect satellite reservoirs to PAZFLOR, the existing FPSO.

The largest ever discovery of gas in the Mediterranean Sea!

Discovered in 2015 by ENI in the North of the Egyptian town of Port Said, Zohr started its’ gas production in record time, just over two years from its discovery.

The development of a third production unit began in May 2018, and will bring the total installed capacity to 1.2 billion cubic feet of gas per day.

Jubilee is located 60 kilometres offshore of Ghana. Discovered in 2007, First Oil production came on-stream in December 2010.

Jubilee can produce about 100,000 barrels of oil per day, as well as the majority of Ghana’s gas for power generation.

The West Nile Delta Project (WND) involves the development of gas and condensate fields, located approximately 85 kilometres off the coast of Alexandria, Egypt.

Operator BP and their partner DEA are developing these fields in separate phases. Phase one consists of five major fields: Taurus, Libra, Giza, Fayoum and Raven, with further projects (Maadi, Viper, Ruby, Polaris and Hodoa) earmarked for future development.

Angola Block 17 PBF Project Brownfield (PBF): A special team to maintain the production plateau of the FPSOs!

Located off the coast of Angola, nearly 1,300 meters below sea level, Block 17 is composed of four major FPSOs: Girassol, Dalia, Pazflor and CLOV, which gradually started production between 2001 to 2014. In 2017, its production averaged 600,000 b/d.
